Some of the hackberry have some moss cover, esp. trees close to the rock face and older trees with large branching systems shading the boles. Some air pollution sensitive species were found: Usnea, Bryoria in tiny amounts on Betula. Disturbance none to light. No sign of cow/sheep grazing but a lot of bear scat on the plot along the trail under hackberries (full of Celtis seeds). Some Himalyan blackberry. Pittsburg Formation (sedimentary and metamorphosed intrusive and volcanic rocks). Slope 75%. Aspect 100°. Abundance code: 4-6; Brown cortex makes it difficult ito read K spot test. Spot Tests: Cortex K- or K+ faint yellow; medulla K-.
