Upslope is steep and rocky, much bare soil with some bunchgrass, Opuntia cactus and the moss, Racomitrium. Upslope CERE2 trees shade those trees immediately below them. Most CERE2 with some moss on the boles. Lichen diversity is relatively high. Disturbance heavy along road corridor, no current grazing. Cheat grass and weeds on either side of the road. Road is lightly used, ATV only. Late Triassic/Mid Jurrasic Intrusives. Slope 8%. Aspect 220°. Substrate: CERE.
