Plot lies on mid slope of S facing hillside with a young to middle aged Pseudotsuga menziesii with occasional shrubs such as Prunus emarginata and Arbustus sp., Alnus rubra and Holodiscus discolor. Many lichens occured entirely on these shrubs such as Ramalina farinacea, Cavernularia hultenii, Hypotrachyna sinuosa and one Parmelia sp. The Pseudocyphellaria anomala was surprisingly abundant but few other cyano's found, i.e. no Nephroma sp. Lobaria oregana only found growing on a stump and Lobaria pulmonaria colonies appeared sick. Slope 58%. Aspect 230°. Abundance code: 4-5. Spot Tests: Medulla: K+Y>(R). Phenology: isidia.
