Box canyon, no trees on upper half. Lower half, below the road was moist to very moist. Canyon narrows at this point with basalt bluff rising almost vertically 60' above the ck. Ck has good drop%. Road bisects plot, a portion of the old creek channel is on the plot (moist area). Epiphytic Leptogium was found, a moist site, clean air indicator. A lot of Melanelia. Lichen cover was twice as high as LightningCK0 or 1. Moderate disturbance. Columbia River basalts. Slope 2%. Aspect 220°. Abundance code: 1. Substrate: CERE.
