The plot is on a ridge top and is divided into a mosaic of stand structures. The SW quarter is late seral old growth, the NW quarter is was clearcut and the E half is an older harvest unit (~20 year old Pseudotsuga menziesii). A road runs right thru the plot center and is lined with alders. Not much lichen diversity in the older stand and almost no lichens in the younger stand portion of the plot. Spaerophorus globosus and Cladonia sp. on the trunks in the old stand. Slope 55%. Aspect 360°. Abundance code: 4-2. Substrate: PSME bo.
