Relatively even-aged stand of PSME. Biggest trees >20". TSHE and ABAM saplings in understory. Numerous large snags are likely remnants of previous stand killed by fire before initiation of current stand - 1994 CVS card says 70 year old trees, = 89 years old in 2013. Numerous small snags and down logs throughout plot. Understory mostly shrubs, few forbs. Acer circinatum have some epiphytic bryophytes (Porella navicularis, Isothecium stoloniferum). Slope 34%. Aspect 230°. Abundance code: 1; Conifers mostly have common green algal lichens (Platismatia & Hypogymnia spp.). Cyanolichens (LOBORE, NEPRES, LEPPOL, FUSPAC) are relatively uncommon and only represented by small individuals on Acer circinatum. Lots of Cladonia spp. on old snags. Seems. Substrate: ACCI br.
