On bark of alders. Apothecia crenulate, K-, C-, KC-. 8 spores per ascus. Spores in ascus 10x7 μm, 12x6 μm. Apothecia 1.5 mm in diameter. Amphithecium 50 μm near top, 100 μm at base. Thallus seems K+ yellow, possibly KC+ yellow, C-. No cortex visible on amphithecium. Epithecium and hymenium POL-, thalline margin POL whitish, but no definite crystals. No large crystals in amphithecium. No terpene crystals growing on thallus.
