Open PIPO stand that was logged over 50 years ago. Past fire disturbance evident on larger PIPO's. Soul is volcanic & sandy. Some surface rock with frequent lava hummocks. Rock outcrop near Pt # 03. No disease problems evident. Large openings characterize stand. Few seedlings noted. Major shrub cover type is PUTR & ARTR. Major grass/forb layer composed of FEID. Slope 2%. Aspect 90°.
