Site is a stand of short (< 15) CELAR trees w/ grass & cactus understory, strewn w/ boulders & river rocks. Plentiful animal use- deer beds under largest trees & scat of deer, (elk?), and rabbit. Slope 15%. Aspect 200°. Abundance code: 2; 2010 Misc Lichens. Soralia mainly marginal, yellowish cortex HERBARIUM? Not marked on packet; Epiphytes on main branches of CELAR are dom by Melanelia & Physconia. Xanthorioids do not seem higher in abundance than upriver plots. Very high cover of Xanthoria & Physcia adscendens on many twigs & brs & boles. Best cover on trees in moister microsites. Spot Tests: med: C+R. Phenology: soralia.
