Head west on Chewuch Road, go left on Cub Creek Road 5215 to Road 300-go left on 300 and right on 370 Road for about 1 mile and park where road crosses creek. Head west up the drainage. Where creek crosses cow creek. Elev. 3500 ft.

Habitat: Multi-aged, mid-seral THPL riparian with depauperate understory. Light: Fully shaded. Topography: Riparian. Aspect: SE degrees. Slope: 5%. This THPL riparian is a unique feature surrounded completely by dry forest habitat with fire return interval of about 25 years. Historically this riparian zone likely burned on a regular basis along with the uplands. Substrate: Found growing 4-5 feet up on a Thuja plicata snag. Chaenothecopsis pusiola: spores 1-septate, 6-7 micrometers. ascomata K+red.
