This plot is an old-growth Pinus contorta/Tsuga heterophylla dune forest with a very dense cover of Vaccinium ovafolium and some Gautharia shallon woven in. The canopy is open and the lichen comminity is diverse and abundant. Bryoria spiralifera seen on the Blienoll Lake trail but did not see any obvious thalli on the plot. The whole area is hard to move around in because of very dense shrub cover. Abundance code: 3; Long pseudocyphellae. Spot Tests: K+Y-->R, KC-.
