Lecidea pulcherrima Vainio
[= Anamylopsora pulcherrima]
Annotated by William A. Weber. Remarks: Although resembling somewhat Lecidea globifera, this material has the cortex reacting with KOH producing a rusty yellow wash, with formation of rusty crystals; also, the epihymenium reacts negatively with KOH (in globifera the epihymenium is KOH violet). The type material of pulcherrima is Kopet-dagh, in Turcomania, collected by Radde. This is the first American collection. Herbarium of the University of Colorado, Boulder.
