Washington: Snohomish County: Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Forest Service road 63 area. From Highway 2 take the Index-galena road Forest Service road 63 to end of County road area. Snag road side just before end of County road.

Coniferous forest with Hemlock and Big Leaf Maple. On a snag old scar on pitch. Apothecia 1mm, stalk reddish brown, head same, spores ellipsoid 9x5, 7x5, 10x5, K take red out of stalk and head, stalk not black before mount. See EB #L5292 same snag. See EB #5291A same collection. Substrate: corticolous. Phenology: apothecia.
