Exposed open two-layer ABAM/TSHE stand - (in places developing into multistory stand) on ridge surrounded by clearcuts. Shrubs: Vaccinium alaskaense, Rubus pedatum. Herbs: Oxalis oregana, Maianthemum dilatatum, Achlys triphylla. Slope: 30 degrees. Aspect: 270 degrees. Associated species: Antitrichia curtipendula and Sphaerophorus globosus. Substrate: Partially shaded moist Abies amabilis litterfall branch. Substrate: corticolous.
