Washington: Yakima County: Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Naches Ranger District, Pinegrass Ridge. Drive south and west along 1204-755 road to point approximately 340m beyond is junction with 1204-747. Walk approx. 120m north into eastern edge of wetland complex. ¶ Elev. 4960 ft.

Habitat: This is the most hydrologically robust, biologically diverse sloping fen-meadow system currently known on the Naches RD; the system consists of larger, lobed northern fen-meadow and a separate, smaller fen located shortly to the south; the western, upper half of the northern unit and most of he smaller unit are soppy-wet, groundwater-rich sloping fens. ¶The western portion of the northern unit and the smaller unit to the south are separated from each other by less than 100m of forested wetland, that itself seems appropriately regarded as forested fen; each unit is wetted by groundwater discharge along and into their western portions.¶Associated Species: lichen/moss layer: SPAHG2, PHFO6, CACU18, METR70, HEBL2; herb layer: ELQU2, ERGR8, CAUT, CAJO, CACA11, CAAQ, PLDI3, PEGR2, EQAR, TRGL5, SAOR2, EPILO, HYAN2, POOC2, MIPR; shrub layer: VAUL, SALIX. Location Notes: sparsely distributed over several acres. This fen-meadow system is extensively and intensively pitted by current cattle use. seems appropriately regarded as forested fen, each unit is wetted by groundwater discharge along and into their western portions. Substrate: terricolous.
