Dominant associated plants: Pseudotsuga menziesii, Larix occidentalis, Abies lasiocarpa, Alnus viridis, Saxifraga odontoloma, Montia parviflora, Senecio triangularis, Rubus parviflorus. On boulders in steep creek channel below a 5-foot waterfall, where rock surfaces are damp to drenched from frequent splash. Color: light to medium green. Growth Habit: Sprawling mats to 20 inches diameter. Extent: 100 square feet. Substrate: saxicolous. Phenology: sporophyte.
