Holotype. Flexilis (depauperata), it is hanwritten on the label. "Unique in appearance, small size, oospore 485-525 u long, 435-465 u wide, striae 4-5, fossa 120 u across, membrane smooth...Det.: R.D. Wood, 4 May 1959". "Study and illustrations made by Dr. Imahori (58-11-16-2), Det.: R.D. Wood, 26 Jun 1959". This type consists of a medium packet mounted on a sheet containing a dry mounted specimen and a small packet containing a slide (58-11-16-2). holotype.
