Uner A. tenuissimum Gard.: "The branching, cells, and general proportions are quite like Gardner's description and figure; however no gland cells were found and the longest tetrasporangia were about 50 x 70um (MD 2359 [N.B. dupl. in OIMB herb. of J.C.Q. #106 also carries number 359 in M.S.D.'s handwriting] and J.C. Queen 106, floating timber at Marshfield on Coos Bay, July). The tetrasporangia are elliptical at first; pyriform and finally almost spherical at maturity." Substrate: wood.
