U.S.A., Washington, Chelan County: Swakane Wildlife Area. Swakane Canyon Road, about 9 km. from junction with State Highway Alt. 97. Just beyond (west) cultivated area in valley; collecting in valley and slopes on both sides of road. Elev. 1650 ft.

Ponderosa pine forest burned about 10 years ago. Dominated by Balsamorhiza, grasses, Ceanothus, Lupinus. Large masses from woody taproot; flowers cream white. Reproductive state: Flowers. Origin: Native.
